Curtin University Alumni has given their blessing to promote this little event next week which may appeal to some budding entrepreneurs. It is part of their Alumni Innovator Series and features three graduates that turned their ideas into enterprises. If you are at the cusp of starting your business perhaps this will give you some courage!
It does require a snap decision (you are asked to register by Friday 4 May) and invest $20 and about two hours of your time.
The panel will be moderated by Gordon Owili, author of Disruption: Game Changing Start-ups, a book packed with inspiring stories of how some of the world’s most successful tech disrupters built their businesses. Gordon will be joined by three innovators:
- Melissa Strutt, founder of Roobix, a Perth-based business consultancy, marketing and software development company
- Haweya Ismail, entrepreneur and founder of DIY skincare brand Mud & Musk
- Marc Berryman, creator of Rhinohide, a body armour for four-wheel-drive vehicles, and survivor of television show, Shark Tank
Following individual presentations, the panel will respond to questions from the audience.
